Identity verification
VacuumPay uses Self Protocol for KYC โ a zero-knowledge identity system that proves you're a real, unique human without exposing your personal documents to the platform.
Privacy by design
- ยท Your passport data never leaves your device
- ยท Only a cryptographic ZK proof is sent to our servers
- ยท VacuumPay stores no biometric data
- ยท Verification is one-time and wallet-linked
Verification steps
Connect your wallet
Use Phantom, Solflare, or Backpack to connect your Solana wallet. This is your account identity โ no email required.
Open Self Protocol
Download the Self app on your phone. Open it and tap 'Scan passport'. Your device camera will read the NFC chip in your passport.
Scan your passport
Hold the back of your phone near the biometric page of your passport. The NFC scan takes 5โ15 seconds. No photo is stored โ only a zero-knowledge proof.
Complete liveness check
Take a selfie within the Self app to confirm you are the document holder. This is a one-time check โ VacuumPay never stores your biometric data.
Submit ZK proof
Self Protocol generates a zero-knowledge proof of your identity and submits it to VacuumPay's KYC service. Your raw document data never leaves your device.
